Description:
The Management organised a lunch for the staff on the occasion of Christmas. The highlight of the occasion was the presence of Mother General, Sr. Monica Joseph and General Councillor, Sr. Irene Rodrigues. The party started with a brief prayer. Sr. Monica then addressed the staff of CJM and Krist Raja School. She used the opportunity to interact with the staff and to apprise them of the bicentennial celebrations of the Congregation of the Religious of Jesus and Mary. The celebrations would start from 6th October 2017 and conclude on 6th October 2018. The bicentenary would begin with celebrations that would first take place at Agra. The conclusion of this momentous event would take place at Lyons in France. This event would bind staff and students in institutions in 29 countries of the world in the joy of the celebration of the bicentenary. A picture of St Claudine was gifted to all the teachers present to enable them to reinforce the vision of the Mother Foundress so that they could "live the three Priorities as one JM apostolic body," and to love with the same passion as the first followers of Jesus and the first sisters. Mother General thanked the teachers profusely for their contribution to society and told them that they were "fortunate to be teachers."
A sumptuous lunch was served to the staff. Sr. Monica Joseph and Sr. Irene Rodrigues mingled freely with the staff members and impressed everybody present with their warmth and concern.
