Description: The Feast of Blessed Dina Belanger and Teachers’ Day celebrations began with the celebration of mass at Sacred Heart Cathedral. The celebrant, Fr. Jolly felicitated the teachers and in his homily exhorted them to be role models for the students. He also introduced Blessed Dina Belanger, as a religious, who drew her inspiration from Jesus. The students from classes V to XII then assembled in the Claudine Hall. The students of Class XII A organised a brief prayer service which was followed by an enactment from the life of Blessed Dina, focussing upon Dina’s internal conflicts and battles, with which every student in the hall could identify. Their portrayal highlighted ‘Dina’s unshaken faith in God that made her rise above all her fears. The programme concluded with the Congregation Anthem. This was followed by prayers for the well-being of teachers. A short entertainment programme, ‘The CJM Experience’ was put up by the students of Class XII for the teachers. Sr. Janet applauded the students for their efforts. In her address, Sr. Josna pointed out two distinctive virtues of Dina that could inspire students to excel in academics and inculcate in them the spirit of charity as well. Sr. Janet wished all the teachers on the occasion of Teachers’ Day and expressed her gratitude to them for their committed and dedicated services. Some students assembled in the library to watch the President’s class. The PTA organised lunch for the teachers on the occasion.
