Description:
The series of debates culminating in the Sr. Dorothy’s Trophy OSA Debate began on 24th August 2015. Four debates were held in the preliminary round and the winners were: 1. Convent of Jesus and Mary, Delhi 2. Vasant Valley School 3. Delhi Public School, R K Puram 4. Army Public Schoo.l In the semi finals held on 25th August when these teams were pitted against each other the winners were : Delhi Public School and Convent of Jesus and Mary.In the final round on the 26th of August, the topic of debate was ‘ This House believes that technology has led this generation to becoming idiots’. Though the proposition comprising the CJM team members: Riti Sengupta, Soumya Bhasin, Umara Zainab and Natasha Lopez stoutly defended their stance…. the winners were the opposition: the Delhi Public School team consisting of Shagun Sethi, Radhika Sharma, Jai Khajuria and Aniket Aich. The best speaker award went to Shagun Sethi ( DPS) and Soumya Bhasin of CJM was adjudged the second best speaker. The rolling trophy was awarded to the winning DPS team by Sr. Janet , our Principal. The series of debates were held under the aegis of the Old Students’ Association and organized by the teachers of English ( Senior School).
